We are a small but diverse group of Christians committed to following Jesus and loving our community.
Although our roots are in the Stone-Campbell restoration movement, we represent a variety of denominational backgrounds. We are also theologically, politically and socially diverse; we have learned that we can differ from one another and still worship, study, fellowship and serve together.
We welcome everyone, men and women, to serve and use their gifts in all aspects of the church's life and leadership. We are active in numerous community ministries including the Tempe Community Action Agency's IHELP, FriendSpeak and ministry on the campus of Arizona State University.
We take Scripture very seriously, and all members are encouraged to read and study the Bible (both as individuals and in study groups) that they may interpret Scripture for themselves and apply it to their own lives.
We do not insist that members agree with a particular creed or statement of faith beyond affirming that “Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God” and accepting him as their Lord and Savior.
Worship with us on Sundays at 10:00 AM at 2424 South Mill Avenue in Tempe, Arizona.

Michael grew up in TX, CA, NM, KS, MO before going to college in Arkansas. He and his wife, Emily, have called Arizona home for almost a decade now and they are grateful to claim this place as home! The son and grandson of missionaries and preachers, Michael knew from an early age that he would also go into ministry. He received his MDiv from Harding School of Theology in Memphis, TN.
Michael joined the ministry team at the Tempe Church of Christ in 2018. He is so proud to be a part of this small church that sets such a large table. The willingness of this congregation to follow God's lead is a refreshing stream of water in the desert. Michael is married to his best friend, Emily. They have three amazingly gifted children, Olivia, Maddox, and Jude.
I am excited to meet the people I don't know yet that God is sending our way. It is always fun to look back and think of current friends and how God brought us together for our mutual benefit!
What has God been teaching me recently? I am consistently impressed and filled with gratitude for the many ways that God generously provides for us! Each gift is a beautiful reminder of the greatest gift of all - God's presence within each of us.

I am proudly born and raised in Arizona. I did my undergraduate in Tucson, but am glad to be back in the Phoenix area I call home. I am currently pursuing my PharmD degree at the University of Arizona’s Phoenix campus and hope to graduate in 2027 as a practicing pharmacist.
God has truly blessed me this year. I am leaning in to His goodness and practicing releasing my worries onto Him. The Bible passage that is helping me a lot right now is Luke 12:22-26. God created us beautifully, loves us deeply, and will care for us fully. My goal is to embrace this Heavenly love and to spread it to others seeking a peace only God can provide. I’m excited to share God’s Word and see where He takes us!Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary. Adrienne is married to Jared and they are expecting their first child.
I'm originally from Tucson, but I am now a recent graduate from ASU with a Degree in Sports Science and Performance Programming! I have lived in the valley for 6 years with plans to pursue higher education and career in Strength and Conditioning. I have done internships with ASU Athletics and now work as Performance Coach at a local gym here in PHX. My passion is to help people get in better shape to meet their goals whether it be to live a healthier lifestyle or play professional basketball!"
I'm very excited for the growth that is going to happen this year! It will be my first year out of college and as a working professional in my craft. It is a time of trials and tribulations as I find my footing in a fast-paced world. Meanwhile, I'm also excited to help college students grow in their faith as I try my hand in ministry to lead people closer to Christ! It will be a time where I grow in my faith and learn how to rely on God and trust in the plan he has made. (The human heart plans the way, but the Lord directs the steps. Proverbs 16:9).
I'm learning to how to trust God more and give him the agency to direct my steps, pick me up when I fall, and give me the peace that I can't find anywhere else. I learn that while receiving God's grace is my decision, the path to Holiness cannot be walked alone.
I am from the Land of Enchantment, which is more commonly known as New Mexico! New Mexico is called the Land of Enchantment because of its land of Rocky Mountain Heights and vast desert expanses. I was born and raised in the city of Las Cruces and completed my undergrad at New Mexico State University. I earned a Bachelor's of Science in Chemical Engineering and moved out to the beautiful city of Tempe last fall 2023 for work.
I am currently an engineering Project Manager and the Site Sustainability Leader at the Procter and Gamble Site here in Phoenix. I come from a small family, but it is very important to me and big in my life. One of my favorite things to do is travel as much as I can! I really enjoy doing all kinds of sports, especially weight lifting and rock climbing! I also love to work on art projects and learn languages!
I am super excited to strengthen and grow my relationship with God and bring that same goodness to others, especially at the Oasis. I am also excited to explore working in a different kind of ministry than I have before. I have previously worked with young children and teens but this year I will be focusing on helping to enrich the lives of college students with God's love! I will be helping with a teen bible study to help young people grow deeper in their faith and encourage them to ask those tough questions so we can learn and grow together as a community with God's grace and guidance.
I grew up in a small farming community in Eastern Washington State called Sunnyside. I moved to Arizona a few years ago to pursue an education at ASU in Psychology. After graduating, I took a job at ASU’s Department of Psychology working as a Research Specialist for the Arizona Twin Project. I also joined on as a Pastoral Care Intern at Tempe Church so this will be my second internship year. I also also am still a student, I’m studying counseling at GCU to someday become a Professional Mental Health Counselor. Most importantly, I’m a proud dog mom to my mutt named Xena.
I am most excited about building relationships with members of our community and welcoming in new members to our community. I especially have a heart for people undergoing various stages of development or transition whether that’s graduating high school and entering college or retiring and living life during the golden years. I’m looking forward to witnessing other folks see and know Christ intimately, I feel so blessed to be apart of it.
An ongoing learning opportunity for me is practicing vulnerability both with God and with the people He has given to love me. I keep thinking I’m done with that specific struggle and it keeps popping up in new ways! God is also teaching me the boldness and confidence that comes with being his child. I loved hearing just the other day in Hebrews that we have confidence to enter by the blood of Jesus. I’m still unpacking what all that means for me, but I think it’s going to be an important lesson in this new season.
